My future work

Hi, the topic for today is to talk about your future work.

I study theory, history of art and aesthetics and is a very unprofitable career. I have very little chance of finding work haha ​​or maybe not, but the labor camp where I work is very small.

Usually people who graduate career dedicated to cultural management, curatorship, be teachers and teach at the university, research, cultural criticism, address museums among others.

I think, I feel and believe the work I have to do today as theoretical and art historian is to fill the cultural and artistic gaps found in the history of Chile, to create a file and cultural subjectivity and thus to grow as a country the sociocultural field.

The truth is that I think as a person, one can develop many aspects, so I would like to study not only that, I also want to study organic farming in the IDMA and get training as a yoga teacher, so I'd feel complete and happy.

I hope that in future im working in any of these things, hopefully in all three at the same time or may not work at all, i don't know, I dont like to talk much of the future but this is more or less what I aspire.

Your favourite song

Hi, today im going to talk aboaut my favourite song, something very difficult to me because i have many favourite songs, so, i talk about my favourite artist in this moment.

In this days i'm obessed with Tomppabeats, a japanese artist who makes songs with only one beat. His songs are very short, last approximately one or two minutes because he repeat the beat over and over.

The songs are made with sounds of the rain, people talking, sound of nature or known songs all under a rap bass or something like this. Its not like Eminem or50cent, his music are totally different and i listen it when i make essays for the univeristy, when i go to my home, in the subway, in the bus, etc.

I discovered this artist in YouTube, i love search new artist in this page, i think is so usefull for this and all the month i discoveres a new one artist

The artist is very unknow :( hi has only 30.0000 followers in his page of facebook and when he to post something in soundcloud, youtube or facebook, he receives very few likes and in spotify too. I always share his songs because i want to the people know him, its a very new artist and i love him.

My favourite artist

Really I dont have a favourite artist and neither a favourite piece of art, but if i choose one i would choose a photographer. He called Martin Chambi, an indigenous peruvian.

He is recognized for being the first in portrait photographer in Perú and for to portray the native population usually in Lima or Arequipa. 

One of my favourite photo is a picture in which an old woman appears, but a very old woman, peruvian, and indigenous. I think that is the most beautiful photo that was taken in Lationamerica. I think the photo represents all the history was hidden, repressed, and ignored in all the history, and in specially, art history, in which always narrate the history from a western perspective, usually European, so i love this photo for this. 

Other thing that makes me like it and fascinated with this photo, its aesthetics, the colour, because, the black and white gives the photo a huge power and intensity. 

I think that the role of Martin Chambi in the history of Peru is very important and fundamental, because he was able to show a part of Peru that it has never shown.  Y love him <3 

The best holidays

Mi best holidays was two years ago, in 2014
My sisters and I went to Torres del Paine, in the south of Chile, near to Punta Arenas City and Puerto Natales.
We went out to Punta Arenas on a thursday in the morning. A bus taken us in the bus stop and took us with other people, mostly foreign travelers, to Puerto Natales. In this place we camped at night and on the friday morning other bus took us to Torres del Paine. We delayed approximately 3 hours.

Saw this scene was it magical. The air, the forest, the mountains, the lake, share with other people of other countries, the icebergs, all was beautiful.
In this National Park are two famous routes: the W and the O. The W route is the easier way to get to the base of Torres del Paine, in the place where all the people taken photos hahaha. The route takes about seven hours but the happines and the satisfaction is huge. The O route is for people experiencied in climb and taken about two days.

We obviously made the W. Lunch with the most beautiful view i've ever seen.
We camp two nights,  we went to Grey Lake and taken whiskey on the rocks with an real piece of iceberg. We were happy <3

My experience using blogs in the english class was very good. At fisrt, i dont like it to much, because im so reserved person and is very difficult to me talk about me and my interests, but over time it became easier and funniest.

In relation with skills developed, i think that write blogs every class helps me to improve my vocabulary and talk in english, because i write what i think, and this is so important. About my writing skills i cans say that i dont have developed to much, because i write directly and i dont read what a just i wrote, but in my career, theory and art history, i developed too much, and in excess, this skill.

In the future i like to include, mmm, i dont know really, maybe activities like the other day, when we have to guess what character are you, group activities, where all speak, because i think that you learn fisrt talknig and after writing.

I think that its a good idea start for writing blogs about the typical topics, like family, music, art etc., for get familar the blog, but i like writing in the future about fiction, create stories, love stories, hate stories, murder sotries.

I LOVE BLOGS

I like all the music, including reggaeton and bachata, but always it depend on my moods. I hear regageton and bachata in de weekend, usually when i was cleanliness or in the carrete haha, but in generally and daily i listen indie music: indie pop, indie rock. 

I listen indie when im sad, when im happy, in the subway, in the public transport, in the way to the university or my house. I always listen indie. 

Indie pop and rock its a musical genre that originated in the United Kingdom and in the United States in the 1980s according and by Wikipedia and is derived from Rock and experimental music. 

All the typical instruments like the guitar, the bass, the drums, are relevant but takes importance in some groups the synthesizer.  Is this electronic instrument which generates new sound trough a keyboard. 

The most important exponents are MGMT, Foster the People, Beirut, Devendra Banhart among others, but when i started listen this music i  hear this bands, but in this moment and usually i looking for new bands in YouTube or Spotify. Im always listening new songs, and a few days ago I found The Shoes, a french band. I love this group. I recommend  the song "drifted",  my favorite song today. 

When i enter in this career, i like it too much all the subjects, in specially "Aesthetics", but in this semester i had a special love for "History of Art III"

I have History of Art one day in the week, but the class during three hours. 

In this subject wee see all the currents of art of all the times, and in the last moths wee see impressionism, expressionism and vanguards, a very interesting and entertaining content, specially for the social, politic and cultural reasons surrounding the period, like industrial revolution, the modernity, the transience of things, etc. 

The last year we had an another professor, he was be a good professor but was very booooring.  
This year the teacher change, and she make the class very fun and, and related the history like a story, so is more easy to me learn in this way and remember the content. 

In this way, the teacher are a very important person, she makes my that I love her subjects and it became in my favorite content. I learn and spend a great time in her class. 

My career is Theory and Art History and has no advantages hahaha but have a many disadventages like a bad salary, difficulty to find work. 
My carrer are very unknow, and the strage thing are that the career has more than 30 years, but University of Chile is the only institution where you can study this. 
Maybe it is unknow because the cultural area in Chile are very poor and undeveloped, the people are not interested in this topics. 

The requeriments to study this are to be interested in art, history, aesthetics and philosophy, and like the text productio. Write and read a lot. 

In my opinion, the benefits are more personal than professional. You become a person full of knowledge , power your critical side , you start to question things and develop research y and you surround yourself with art and people very kind, nice and strange.


When you come to study this you know you have almost no chance of work and you'll be poor all your life, but generally works in museums , art galleries, write in magazines or web art pages, making classes,selling sopaipillas or drugs, etc.


I hope not to make money because i dont wknow if i find work.
I write this very angry because i accidentally delete ALL, but i LOVE MY CAREER AND IS THE BEST CAREER IN THE WORLD.

My favourite philosopher is Aristóteles

He is from Greece and born in 384 a.C. It was not only a philosopher, but also a great

scientist and his ideas have influenced the history for thousands of years , until today , especially in the field of art .

Aristoteles thought about the arts , whose philosophical study is part of aesthetics ; in this sense the most important text , especially for the future relevance , is the Poetics. Hi is also considered the first author write about aesthetic.

Hi is my inspiration because in this time, think about art like a form of knowledge was a very contemporany way of thinking. 

He wrote more than 200 texts, but the best known are Poetic , Rhetoric , Politics and Metaphysics

I like his ideas because besides enormous influence in the entire world, his thinking seems surprisingly advanced for the era in which he lived, and I agree with the ideas proposed abour art and aesthetic.Needless to say that as a scientist, was a genius and his contributions to science are fantastic.

His ideas are connected with mine in the artisitc level, where read Aristóteles is one of the first things that must be done to understand the aesthetics in my career, Theory and art history.

Photo

I chose photography is Martin Chambi, indigenous Peruvian photographer who portrays his village and culture.
The photo is of an indigenous woman, elderly, wrinkled and with their typical dress,
The photo is taken in black and white, which enhances your character portrait.
Photo I love because it shows a reality unknown to many, showing the most intrinsic corner of a beautiful culture.
photo has no specific date but is making the twentieth century, approximately around 1970.

Martin Chambi's role is critical in Latin American photography, and thanks to it, we can get much closer and better known, Peruvian indigenous culture.

I hope someday to take pictures as Martin Chambi, rescuing and highlighting important details of ordinary people, making them special.

I think the happiness, more than a emotional o mental state, its a way to life, i knows that sounds "cliché" but I find some reason in that sentence. 

Finally, oneself is makes the day or the whole life wonderful and happiness. 

There are many things that makes people happy, one of this it could be the family, the family is always a good reason to smile. 

Do things that you like and enjoy like dance, sing or any thing you take pleasure in, they make you feel hapy. 

But today, in this society, money sometimes buy happiness (but i dont think so) 

I happy when y travel to Punta Arenas and meet with my family, for me, is the best thing in the world. But dance, take pictures, eat, sleep, wake all days are other things to makes me happy. But as I say before, happiness is a way of life, then ,althoug some thing  contribute to my happiness, im happy. :) 

I show my happiness of the many forms: I always smile to the other people, and I laugh a lot. I dance too much and singing aloud. 

I think that i do little things for others smile and be happy for a moment, like a smile, a hug, a greeting, make gifts or say us something positive. 

My favourite piece of technology

My favourite piece of technology its a laptop.
Not long ago, i buying a new laptop. I buy a macbook pro 13.
Its too expensive but  I needed it because I make photos, and work with my pictures.
I needed a computer to read de image resolution and had enough memory for save all the programs to edit my photos, and this laptop is perfect for this and for my.
Its too fast and my photos looks so good. I never see the videos that i made before because my old laptop not read it, and see them for the first time in high quality was a totally pleasure.
Im not only use for edit and see my photos, in my laptop i made the works for the university, listen music, search information, send email and all the currently things.
My life without my laptop would be so sad, especially for my photos and videos, but except that, my computer its not essential in my life, i can live without it, but sincerely, I love it because I love makes photos and edit my pictures, and without it, this wouldn't possible.

When i was a child i wanted to be a dancer, or a artistic skater. I always look at them in the tv and my dream was to be like them.

In the moment of i decided study in the university i was between two decisions. Be a nurse or study theory and art history. I was to be a nurse because mi sister is a nurse, and i like your job. In the high school i very good at biology, chemistry and physical, so be a nurse was a good idea, but the thing that i really love definitely was history, literature and aesthetics. It was a really difficult decision because i didn't know that this career exist, but at the moment i was found this career, i don't doubt.

My father wanted me to study medicine, nursery or something that gives me money, but when i tell to him my decisions, he gives full support.

My experience at the university is very good. I love the subjetcs and this motivates me every day. The evaluations are not too difficult to me and I like work under pressure. Under pressure i work better.

The kind of job i would like to do is out of Santiago, because i'm from Punta Arenas, and in this place  have lack culture and arts. I have been thinking about in create a public place for people without resource and anyone who likes art. Bring art to people is my goal.

Who I am?

Hi! mi name is Carla and im 19. I was born in Punta Arenas. My parents are Raúl and Gloria and i have two sister: Denisse and Daniela. My mother died when i was twelve and since 2008 i live in Santiago. 
Denisse have 30 years old, she is nurse and work in the public hospital of Punta Arenas, and Daniela have 24 years old, she is a psychologist an live in Punta Arenas too. 
Actually i live with my father in San Miguel. 
In my first school years i was live in Punta Arenas and i was in a catholic school: Liceo María Auxiliadora. Then, when I moved to Santiago, I studied at the Tantauco school, a school of the air force, I never liked, but it was there where I met those who are today my best friends. 
Since two years i study theory and art history in the University of Chile. 
I really love take pictures with my nikon camera and like listen music everytime, everywhere.  I usually listen to indie pop and rock and sometimes, secretl,  reggae ton.
Recently I discovered a band that I really liked: The shoes. For anyone who wants to hear this band,  recommend the song "Drifted"
